About Us

Hope Soccer Ministries

Who We Are?

We are a Non-Profit Christian Organization for Youth Soccer. We serve boys and girls, ages 4 to 18. We share our faith in Jesus Christ with our players during practice.

We partner and collaborate, in different ways, with several organizations within our community including Moments of Hope Church, Pineville United Methodist Church, The Charlotte Eagles, The Brace YMCA, Pineville Police Department, Queens University of Charlotte and Johnston and Wales University.

We also have sponsorship deals which it makes it possible for our players to get discounts at local restaurants such as: Pizza Hut Pineville, Sabor Latin Grill, Jet’s Pizza, Hello Chicken, Hungry Howie’s, and Monterrey Mexican Restaurant.

What We Believe?

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)

We want to share the truth of the Gospel, that Jesus is the Son of God who came to die on the cross for our sins and was raised again on the third day.

We want to enjoy the game of soccer and build relationships that will allow us to share that truth with all who are willing to hear.

If players are not interested in hearing us share our faith in Jesus Christ, that is ok. They’re still welcome to play soccer with us if they like.

Our Soccer Expertise

Our Head Coach, Nick, is an ex-collegiate soccer player who played for Queens University of Charlotte during their most successful season in school history in 2006 when Queens made an “Elite 8” appearance in the National DII Tournament.

Our Coaching Experience?

Our Head Coach, Nick has 14 years of coaching experience. He played at college at Queens University of Charlotte.  We are different than other recreations soccer organizations because we don’t rely on volunteers to coach.  Instead we hire coaches that are good soccer players.

This way when coach Nick wants to work on developmental drills, he explains the objective to soccer players who implement it with thier teams.

We love the game of soccer and we teach good quality soccer at age groups, starting with our U6s.

Our Success?

Though the most important aspect for us it share our faith with those who are willing to listen, we do love soccer.  Our founder played at Queens University of Charlotte and he loves to compete and win soccer games.  Our U14s and our U18s are pretty competitive in the leagues where they play at.

In 2019, our U18s made it to the final of the more competitive bracket (Premiere) and got second place.  Our 14s also made it to the final and got second.  They lost on PKs.

In 2021, (there was no tournament in 2020), our U14s made it to the semi final.  Our U18s made it to the final and got second place.

We see ourselves as the closest thing to club soccer at the rec level.  We teach our players the game as it is taught competitevely elsewhere.
