Soccer Strategy and Footwork
Hope Soccer MinistriesHope Soccer Strategy and Footwork
The following videos were selected by our Head Coach to watch with your kids. At Hope, we want to teach good strategy. But it takes more than the time we have on the field during practice. Similarly to how schools give children homework, if you want to advance in soccer there are 2 things you should be doing when you are at home.
STRATEGY: Understand strategy is key! Work smarter not harder. In soccer, good strategy beats physicality. The videos will help with that.
FOOTWORK: To put the good strategy to work, you have to be able to handle the ball and make it go where you want it to go. Soccer players call it “having a good touch”. The good news is that it requires nothing fancy. The best way to have a good touch is to simply touch the ball alot. You don’t need a soccer field. The videos we have linked are all in the living room. You do that for 5-10mins a day, and be amazed at how quickly you will improve! If you want us to help you with getting your child more touches on the ball, consider signing up for an Extra Practice or our In-Season Clinic on Saturdays!
