We’re very thankful to Sergeant Harb and Chief Hudgins with the Pineville Police Department for their help and support for Hope Soccer Ministries this season!
Sergeant Harb, putting on a coach’s shirt, and volunteering your time to coach with us this entire season has made a huge impact on the kids who think it is just the coolest thing ever that a “real-life police officer” is their coach!

Sergeant Harb, volunteering your time to coach these local Pineville kids every week has truly shown them that leadership is not about giving orders, but rather about serving! You served them all season, you gave them a lot of your time, and they loved it! And so did their parents!

Often times, the circumstances that lead us to need the police may be difficult. It may be that we meet these fine officers on the worst day of our lives. But, we don’t have to wait until then to meet them! They are serving us in the community every day! Come out and meet them in Pineville!

Update – Pineville Police Volunteer Coaches – Fall 2021!
We loved having the Pineville Police Department volunteer with Hope Soccer this season. They have already made a huge impact on our players and the community because of it. We can’t wait for this partnership to continue!

Pineville Police Citizens Academy
What is it?
A 5 week-long citizens academy where you can learn more about what Police officers do, and how they are trained to handle different situations. Participants will get a tour of the Police department on the first week and learn something different each week after. Topics will include traffic law enforcement, officer safety and more. Week 3 will include a trip to Waxhaw where a computer simulator will simulate different scenarios, almost like a video game! (Should be fun!)
Where is it?
Pineville Police Building, every Tuesday for 5 weeks starting on June 14th.
When is it?
Every Tuesday at 6pm to 7pm. Starting June 14th to July 12th, 2022.
*Pick up your application today at Pineville PD. Must be at least 21 to participate*
What else?
Pineville Police hopes to use this event to show the community more about what they do, and make new friends in the process. For those interested, there could be volunteer opportunities with PPD in the future. Also, coming in the fall, PPD is looking at holding a youth academy. More on that soon…
